Detroit Peacoat
449,00 €
The Breton Peacoat is a maritime-origin coat that was born in Brittany, France, in the 19th century. It was worn by fishermen and sailors to protect themselves from the harsh weather conditions of the Atlantic Ocean. Made from thick, water-resistant wool, it featured a straight cut, double-breasted front, and large buttons that allowed for easy fastening—even with gloves on.
Over time, the peacoat was adopted by the French Navy and later entered civilian use, becoming a style icon. Thanks to its durability and elegant silhouette, it has been reinterpreted by the fashion world, while maintaining its classic and functional appeal.
