Like the Italian sailors of the last century!
The “Lucardine” sailor shirts are made of pure cotton and have been produced by Lucarda since the early 20th century. Chosen by Italian sailors from numerous shipping companies, they were part of the crew uniforms supplied by our store.
The cut follows the tradition of the merchant navy, featuring the classic boat neckline. A distinctive detail is the absence of a defined front and back: this allowed sailors, always in a hurry, to dress quickly without worrying about which side was correct.
We produce them in solid colors—white and navy blue—as well as in a wide variety of colorful striped combinations.
