Description
“Lucardine” are sailor shirts made of pure cotton, produced by Lucarda since the early 20th century. Chosen by Italian sailors from numerous shipping companies, they were part of the crews’ uniforms who stocked up at our store.
The cut follows the tradition of the merchant navy, featuring the classic boat neckline. A distinctive feature is the lack of a defined front and back: this allowed sailors, always in a hurry, to get dressed quickly without worrying about the shirt’s orientation.
We make them both in solid colors—white and blue—and in a wide range of colorful striped combinations.
100% cotton.
